I am great fan of Chetan’s all novels. first story 5 Points at some one itself i become a fan.
3 Ideots
As a movie lover and a fan of chetan bhagat who wrote the book 5 points at some one, I didn’t find a simple similarity between plot and novel. He is accusing that 70% of the movie is from 5 points at some one. I didn’t feel that, the movie itself is running in another direction. Only common thing in both is 3 Students and a professor’s daughter character and some similar occasions.
There is nothing similar other than those. these similarities are also not direct similarity. Just some similar character, i could say writer might have taken inspiration of the characters that’s all. I think personally Chetan is trying to rock the boat with unnecessary claims and trying for publicity and want part of the credit of the movie, since it’s has a good collection record (175+ Crores already). How much is enough Chetan? . You really lost my respect Chetan, don’t cry like children who cries for some doll?. You are a good author and a good social person also. But don’t loose yourself..
Entire movie starts in differently, floats through story line and ends differently. So there is nothing to compare with Chetan’s Novel. I have all his stories with me, as a collection. Read all of them atleast 2,3 times..
I have read Chetan’s few blogs before in which he stated that, the movie’s base is “5 Points @ some one”. But it is totally different. After seeing the movie i felt it.
Amir’s Acting talent is great and good sense of humor displayed in the movie. Amir jst looks like a teenage boy and performance was extra ordinary. Amir is Amir. I love it, you love it too. The movie has become a hit because of that. FAN following.
Sorry not only that, Entire star cast was good and performance and arrangements of the SET’s are good.
So there is no way chetan can get credit of the story. Credit should go to Script Writer Abhijit Joshi
I am fan of Both Amir and Chetan. but i stand beside what is right, not with wrong..
